Acer buergerianum. These trees are perfect for a bonsai specimen or to plant in your yard. Due to its attractive fall foliage and pleasing form, it is often used as a shade tree for landscapes. If you like thick trunks, the Trident Maple is the tree for you. New growth often bronze to purple; yellow, orange, red fall color; colors later than most maples. This tree can be trimmed to keep a smaller size and raised as a bonsai.
